UN under secretary general meets with Prime Minister

UN under secretary general and executive director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Natalia Kanem met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasian at her official Ganabhaban residence in Dhaka on Wednesday.

During Natalia Kanem visit, the Prime Minister discussed on rohingya crisis.Natalia arrived in Dhaka on Monday on a four-day visit. Kanem became the UNFPA chief in October 2017 with the rank of the UN under-secretary-general.

She will also visit the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar and meet with Rohingya women and girls at UNFPA-supported reproductive health clinics and Women Friendly Spaces, according to the release.
