A student gets motorbike by buying Walton fan

Under the ongoing nationwide ‘Walton Digital Campaign,’ a BA final year student named Mahbub Shamim Shaown got a brand new 100 cc motorbike through purchasing and then registering a Walton brand 56-inch ceiling fan.

On 1 july the country’s electronics giant Walton started Digital Campaign with some unique offers. Under this campaign, the Walton fans’ buyers are offered free brand new cars, motorbikes, fridges, televisions and many others prizes or sure cash-back on the registration of their fans, which are purchased from any Walton Plaza and distributor outlets across the country. The customers of Walton fans will enjoy the offer during the period of July 1 to September 30 of 2018.

To buy a ceiling fan for his own room, Mahbub who are studying at Tongi College, went to a Walton Plaza at Uttara Azampur in the capital on 15th July, 2018. Here, he purchased a ceiling fan at Tk 2450 and then registered his purchased fan through sending SMS from his mobile phone. Few minutes later, he received a return SMS from Walton, in which it was written that he got a 100 cc motorbike for taking part in the ongoing digital campaign of the company.

While expressing his reaction, Mahbub said, “After reading out the message, I was fully astonished. It was hard to believe that I got a brand new motorbike for purchasing just a ceiling fan at only Tk 2,450. Really, it’s amazing.

He was informed about the ongoing campaign of Walton, saying it he added that he did not expect about getting brand new car or motorbike for purchasing ceiling fan.

As the Plaza manager informed me that registration of my purchased fan will help me getting swift after sales services in future, thus I registered the fan. But in true, I got a brand new motorbike. What a lucky man I am,”

Mahbub is residing at Dakkinkhan in the capital with his parent, along with one brother and one sister.

Mir Md Golam Faruque, deputy chief marketing officer of Walton, handed over the 100 cc motorbike to Mahbub on 21st July, 2018. During the handing over ceremony, Raihan Kabir, area manager for Uttara Zone of Walton, Asaduzzaman Porag, manager of Walton Plaza Uttara branch, were present.
