Chakaria become road of death, again killed 4
At least four more people have been killed and five others received injuries after a covered van rammed an autorickshaw in Cox’s Bazar’s Chokoria today.
Three of the victims are identified as Md. Yunus Mia, 35, son of Abdul Khaleq, Taj Uddin, 25, son of Abdus Sattar, and Abu Taher, 38, son of Sayed Ahmed.

Chiringa Highway Police-in-Charge Nur-e-Alam Palash has confirmed the incident.
The police official said: “The accident took place at Harbang area in the upazila around 10:45am when the covered van hit the autorickshaw on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar Highway, leaving four passengers killed on the spot, and injuring five others.”
Earlier yesterday, a total of six people have been killed and ten others received injuries after a bus rammed a pick-up van at Baraitala area in Cox’s Bazar’s Chokoria.
Three of the victims were known as pick-up van driver Khair Ahmed, 36, son of Ahmed Hossain, Jahir Ahmed, 32, son of Manzur Alam and Abul Kashem, 27, son of Saidul Alam.
Nur-e-Alam on the day said: “The accident happened on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway near Baraitala area around 12pm, leaving six people killed on the spot, and injuring ten others.
