CEC hurt existence of an EC: Commissioner Mahbub
Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder on Wednesday protested the chief election commissioner’s comment that Mahbub had “falsely claimed there is no level playing field” in the country.
Mahbub Talukder said, "CEC KM Nurul Huda said in Rangamati on Dec 18 that I made false statement saying there is no level playing field for polls. I strongly protest his comment."

“Saying this, he (CEC) has hurt existence of an EC. One must remember that all the ECs and CEC are equal,” he added.
Mahbub Talukder arranged a press briefing at the Nirbachan Bhaban on Wednesday (Dec 19) noon.
The CEC made more sickening remarks in past too, he alleged.
On Dec 17, EC Mahbub told journalists on an occasion that the country lacks level-playing field.
Afterwards, CEC KM Nurul Huda ruled out the observation by saying that EC Mahbub’s remark isn’t true.
