Banking transactions to remain closed Dec 28-31

Transactions of all banks will remain closed on December 28 to 31 on the occasion of general election and weekly holiday.

Bangladesh Bank took the decision following the elections scheduled for December 30, said a circular issued by the central bank’s its Offsite Supervision Department (OSD) on Tuesday.

According to the circular, the bank holiday will remain as usual on December 31. The banking transactions will be resumed from January 1.
