Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Bridges Minister Odaidul Qauder has said Abdur Rahman Bodi, an Awami League lawmaker from Cox’s Bazar 4 constituency, will not be spared if he is found guilty of dealing drugs.
The minister made the remark on Saturday while speaking to reporters after monitoring the repair work on a road in Ashulia, on the outskirts of the capital, ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr. Every drug peddler will be punished if allegations are proved against him or her -- no matter how big the drug peddler is, he added. None will be spared even if he or she is a member of Awami League or BNP...Everyone will be punished," he told journalists while inspecting the work on Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Ashulia, BSS reports. "Anyone whose name is in the list of Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), will face the same consequence," Quader said. About the Prime Minister's visit to India, Quader said the matter of Teesta agreement would be discussed during the visit though there is no agenda regarding the agreement. Senior officials concerned were present on the occasion..
