Writ filed seeking order on formation of caretaker govt
A writ petition has been filed with the High Court (HC) on Monday, seeking its directives in a bid to form a caretaker government and the dissolution of the ruling Awami League-led 10th parliament ahead of the national polls slated to be held by the last week of December this year.
Advocate Dr Younus Ali Akand, Supreme Court lawyer, has filed the writ petition with the concerned branch of the High Court today.

As many as seven persons — including Secretary of Law Ministry, secretary of President Office, secretary of Prime Minister’s office, legislative and parliamentary affairs secretary, national parliament affairs secretary and chief election commissioner — were made respondents in the petition.
Advocate Dr Younus Ali Akand said the hearing on the petition could be heard this noon.
