Party nominees will be announced within a day or two: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday said, 'The party will announce the nomination list within a day or two. The candidates of the parties in our alliance will be announced within a week.'

He said that while talking to the reporters at Bangabandhu Avenue’s political office in the capital.

Obaidul Quader said it is the responsibility of the Election Commission to ensure a level-playing field for all the parties participating in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Condemning the clash between BNP activists and police, he said there is nothing new that BNP prefers violence during elections and expressed concern that the party is trying to manipulate the polls by hiring foreign lobbyists.
