Khaleda’s appeal hearing pending

The Election Commission kept its decision pending after hearing appeal petitions of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia filed against the rejection of her nomination papers by Returning Officers.

The Commission now is scheduled to resume their hearing on Saturday at 5pm.

BNP chief Khaleda Zia has filed nomination papers for three constituencies --Bogura-6 and 7 and Feni-1.

The authorities of Election Commission also kept the decision pending on the petition filed by Krishak Sramik Janata League President Kader Siddiqui.

Former Attorney General AJ Mohammad Ali, the BNP chief’s lawyer, requested that all three of Khaleda’s nomination appeals be considered together.
