Walton slashes prices of LED, Smart TV following the Victory month

The Bangladesh’s multinational electronics brand ‘Walton’ slashed the prices of its big screen Android Smart and LED televisions to mark the victory month of Bangladesh.

According to Walton authorities, they reduced the prices of 32-inch Smart and LED televisions by Tk 1,100. Now, customers can buy Walton brand 32-inch Smart TV at Tk 23,800 and LED Tk18,800. Prices of Walton Smart and LED televisions of both 39 and 43-inch were reduced by Tk 2,000. The local set the new prices of its 39-inch Smart and LED televisions at Tk 34,900 and Tk 29,900 respectively. Customers are now offered Walton 43-inch Smart TV at Tk 37,900 and LED TV at Tk 34,900. Maruf Hasan, head of sales of Walton Television Department, said, Walton brand televisions has been turned into the customers’ top choices in the local market for having some uniqueness like application of world’s latest technology and features, world-class quality, lucrative and stylish designs, reasonable rates, products’ availability in every corner of the country and deliberation of swift post sales services.

They are witnessing continuous growth in the sales of their televisions during the last couple of years, he said adding, they posted around 25 percent growth in television sales during the period of January to November of 2018 compared to the television sales of the corresponding period of the previous year.

Uday Hakim, deputy executive director of Walton Group, said, “The ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labelled Walton televisions are now exported to different countries of Asia, Middle East and Africa continents. The supply of world-class quality televisions at reasonable rates to the internal markets are resulted in gaining customers’ popularity and getting new export markets. Mustafa Nahid Hossain, chief executive officer of Walton Television Department, said, Walton television has been recognized and achieved certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Testing Certificate from Standard Organization of Nigeria Product Conformity Assessment Program (SONCAP).
