97.59 pc students pass in PEC, 97.69 pc in Ebtedayee exams

The results of Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee (madrassa) Terminal examinations were published on Monday with pass rate of 97.59 and 97.69 percent respectively.

A total of 26, 52,896 students took part in the PEC examination this year, of which 25,88,904 examinees passed, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman announced the results at a press briefing at the conference room of his ministry here.

He said a total of 2, 74,907 examinees appeared Ebtedayee examinations this year. Of the total, 2,68,557 student have become successful.

Mostafizur said a total of 3,68,193 students got GPA-5 in the PEC examination this year while 12,264 students got GPA-5 in Ebtedayee exams.
