Wife to die for murdering Babusona

A court of Rangpur awarded death penalty to Deepa Bhaumik in a case of murdering her housband, special PP of the case of Japanese citizen Hoshio Kuni murder and Rangpur District Awami League's Law Secretary Advocate Rothish Chandra Bhaumik Babusona.

Senior District and Session Judge ABM Nizamul Haque delivered the verdict on Tuesday (28 January) in presence of Deepa Bhaumik.

Earlier on March 29, 2018, Deepa killed Rathish Chandra Bhowmik, also an Awami League leader, at his Tajhat residence in Rangpur city.

Later, she took the body to an under-construction building site owned by her colleague Kamrul Islam's brother Khademul Islam at Tajhat Mollapara by a van and buried it on March 30 in 2018.
