A case has been filed for Biman 'hijacking' attempt
Criminal case filed over Bangladesh hijacking attempt against Md Polash Ahmed and some other unnamed persons over the alleged hijack-bid incident of the Dubai-bound aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
Chattogram Airport Civil Aviation’s Deb Broto Sarkar filed the case with the Patenga Model Police Station yesterday.

The Rab sources yesterday said that the suspect, who was killed during the commando operation while trying to hijack the Dubai-bound aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, was an enlisted criminal.
According to the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) officials, the man was identified as Md Polash Ahmed, son of Piar Jahan Sarder, a resident of Dudhghata of Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district.
The fingerprint of the reported attacker got matched with that of an enlisted criminal, Rab said.
According to the passenger list of the aircraft, he was a passenger of domestic flight of Dhaka-Chattogram route and his name was mentioned as Ahmed/Md Polash, seat No- 17A.
The body was handed over to Patenga Police Station yesterday.
According to police, the body has a single bullet hole suggesting that he was shot only once from the front.
