Bangladesh Cricket Team Head Back to Dhaka After Christchurch Mosque Shooting

The Bangladesh cricket team had a narrow escape on Friday when the shooting took place at a mosque in Christchurch. The cricketers left from Down Under this morning after the attacks led to the final Test being called off. The unprecedented shooting claimed the lives of 49 innocent people and injured many more.

The cricketers were on their way to the local Christchurch mosque to offer their Friday prayers when they got to know of what was happening inside the mosque. On hearing that, they got frightened and rushed back to the team hotel. Within 24 hours of the incident, the Bangladeshi cricket team has taken a flight to Dhaka to return home.
