Four ‘militants’ arrested in C’Nawabganj
Four members of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have been arrested from Dakkhin Shohor area of the district C’Nawabganj.
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested them on Monday (27 August) night.

A press note, issued by the elite force, confirmed the information to the journalists on Tuesday.
The arrestees are—Abdul Quader, 30, son of Rustom Ali of Maida Trimohoni area under Shibganj upazila, Aminul Islam, 30, son of Aktarul Islam of Shibnagar area, Abdur Rahman, 39, son of Kubed Ali Mondol of Baluchar area and Aktarul Islam, 46, son of Saifuddin Mondol of Chowdala area under Gomestapur upazila of the district.
Rab also claimed to have rescued a pistol, four rounds of bullet and a shield, 400 grams gunpowder and bomb-making devices from the spot.
