11th national polls deferred to Dec 30

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda on Monday announced that the 11th parliamentary elections will be held on December 30 instead of December 23.

“The Election Commission has also extended the nomination submission deadline to November 28,” he added.

The CEC made the disclosure while talking with reporters at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital this afternoon.

Earlier, CEC announced the 11th Jatiya Sangsad polls schedule on November 8.
