Shahidul Alam gets bail from High Court
Internationally acclaimed photographer Shahidul Alam has secured bail after staying behind bars for over three months.
The 63-year-old was arrested in August on suspicion of spreading "propaganda and false information" during widespread student protests shortly after he gave an interview to Al Jazeera.

The High Court granted his permanent bail considering his age and the time he spent behind bars.
The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Abdul Awal and Justice Bhismadev Chakrabortty passed the order following a petition filed by Shahidul seeking bail in the case filed under the ICT Act.
Barrister Sarah Hossain, the principal lawyer for Shahidul, told this correspondent that the High Court granted bail to Shahidul considering that he has been suffering in jail for more than 100 days and he is a man of 63 years
The police arrested Shahidul, a critic of the government, on Aug 5 and later named him in an ICT Act case.
