Saif Powertec signs MoU with Kolkata Port

Bangladesh's Saif Powertec Limited signed an MoU with Kolkata Port Trust (Shyam Pradad Mukherjee Port) of India on Monday.

The MoU was signed at the Kolkata Port Trust office by prominent industrialist Tarafdar Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Managing Director of Saif Powertec Limited, and Rathendra Raman, Deputy Chairman of Kolkata Port.

From now on, cargo shipping between Bangladesh and India, especially Bangladesh and Northeast India, is going to be easier. Even the cost of commercial cargo transportation between the two countries will be decreased by about 20-25 percent. As a result, the prices of daily commodities used by people in states like Tripura of India may decrease and the business profit of Bangladesh will increase.
