Tazin Ahmed laid to rest beside her father

TV actress and anchor Tazin Ahmed was buried beside the grave of her father Kamal Uddin Ahmed in Banani graveyard. After the Salat al-Janazah of Zohar Gulshan Azad Mosque on Wednesday, the burial of the actress was completed at the Banani graveyard.

Earlier, the body of actress Tazin Ahmed was taken to Kashimpur Women`s Central Jail through ambulance in Gazipur to show her mother.

It is learned that Tazin`s mother has been in Kashimpur Women`s Central Jail for two years. Her detention in a case of check dishonour. Tazin`s mother Dilara Jali had a production house. Tazin had also stepped in the acting world.

Tazin Ahmed (43) breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Regent Hospital in Uttara, around 4:30 pm Tuesday.

She was kept on life support for several hours, following a cardiac arrest at her residence in Uttara.

Tazin was born on 30 July 1975 in Noakhali. But her childhood and adolescence were spent in Pabna district. In 1996, she started her acting career with the play ‘Shesh Dekha Shesh Noy’ directed by Sheikh Niyamat Ali. This actress studied in the Mass Communication and Journalism Department at Dhaka University.

He married drummer Rumi Rahman, after getting separated from her first husband Ejaj Munna. Apart from her acting career, Tazin also engaged herself in journalism. She worked in Bangla dailies ‘Prothom Alo’ and ‘Bhorer Kagoj’.

Besides, she served as the cultural affairs divisional secretary of National Democratic Movement (NDM).

However, Tazin’s death has gripped the country’s showbiz realm with profound shock and mourning.
